The Boatworks at the Loading Dock, Grafton, IL: Brandon & Sarah: October 29, 2016

Brandon and Sarah were married on pretty much the most perfect day.  Let’s just talk for one minute about all the perfection.

1- It was late October.  In southern Illinois.  which pretty much equals a recipe for crazy gorgeous foliage and brilliant weather.  check and check.

2- Sarah.  I mean seriously.  She’s a tall skinny blonde.  TEACHER.  So she’s smart, sweet, and crazy beautiful.  And funny.  Super funny.  But the best part- she doesn’t act like she knows she’s beautiful.  I love girls like that.:)

3- Brandon.  Seriously- a complete riot.  I first met Brandon because I shot the wedding of his sister and brother-in-law (who I happen to adore).  And he was funny then.  He’s even funnier now.  He’s a dentist- and it’s a good thing I don’t go to him- because I’d probably just laugh the entire time.

4- The getting ready cottage.  Cottage.  I dont even need to say more.

5- The shirt of Bob Ross.  For more information, refer back to #3.

6- The outdoor ceremony.  With perfect weather, violinists, and a river in the back.  Perfect.

7- Our choices of locations for photos.  Sure- let’s just drive 2 minutes to hills overlooking crazy gorgeous leaves and scenery and woods:)

8- THIS RECEPTION.  The location, the openness, the decorating with blanket scarves, the furniture, the smores, just all of it.  SO amazing.

9- the blanket scarves.  I feel like they need their own number.  Because I was kind of obsessed with them decorating with blanket scarves for a wedding.:)

10- the Cubs.  Middle of the playoffs- so they rig up a huge TV next to the dance floor:)  that’s loyalty (btw #gocardinals)

The best part of this wedding though is the family.  I am close to Brandon’s family from shooting his sister’s wedding and now working alongside his sister and brother in law frequently as they run the kick-butt videography business Ransom Videography.  But I loved Sarah’s family just as much and felt so at home:)

I love you guys and am so, so happy for you:)

Love, Kara
