Emily & Adam: January 2, 2016- Champaign, IL

Emily and Adam are a couple who I admire so dearly.  Why?  Because it’s been a personal journey this last year and these last few months in particular for me to truly ‘own’ who I am and not try to become something that others want me to be.  Adam and Emily have this down- no problem.  They were an incredible couple who one could instantly tell the amount of respect and admiration they have for one another!

This wasn’t a full wedding day for our team- but merely a few hours of shared joy with the couple!  I loved Emily’s laid back attitude as she was getting ready.  Her niece, also the flower girl, was definitely the entertainment of the evening:)  I loved that you could see the Train Station from the window of Emily’s hotel room- there was something so special about that to me.  As we made our way to the station, the sky had fallen dark and the lights of Champaign were starting to glimmer.  It was truly a beautiful setting!

Adam and Emily’s simple but elegant ceremony was perfect.  We went straight into the reception.  I adored the head table.  Decorated with gorgeous china and greenery- it felt ethereal.  It was stunning.  The dessert table was incredible with so many handmade desserts!  I also took some ‘after’ photos as they were ALL gone:)

My favorite part of this wedding was the incorporation of the ‘moon’ throughout.  On the table where they showcased pictures of their grandparents, there was a photo of her grandpa and grandma and the moon they had sat on during a dance of some sorts.  Not only did Emily and Adam incorporate this moon into their save the date, her hairpin, and other pieces- they actually built (with the help of Emily’s dad) a matching moon for the reception for people to get their photo taken on.  I absolutely love when couples bring details that have significance into their ceremonies!

Thank you Emily and Adam for such an incredible night:)
